Lodhi Garden, a serene oasis in the heart of Delhi, offers a picturesque blend of nature and history. This expansive garden is not just a green retreat in the bustling city, but also a testament to the architectural legacy of the 15th and 16th centuries. It houses the magnificent tombs of the Lodhi and Sayyid era, showcasing the evolution of Indo-Islamic architecture.
Once part of the Sayyid and Lodhi dynasties, today, Lodhi Garden is a favorite among joggers, morning walkers, and history enthusiasts. It's a splendid example of how nature and historical monuments coexist in harmony, providing a peaceful respite from the urban chaos.
Itinerary:
- Meet at 8:15 AM at the Gate no.1 of Lodhi Garden ( opposite mausam bhavan). The walk begins at 8:30 AM sharp.
- Please wear comfortable walking shoes and carry water. The walk will cover extensive ground within the garden.

Highlights of the Walk:
- Bada Gumbad: A grand three-domed mosque that stands as a fine example of the period's architectural style.
- Shisha Gumbad: Known for its glazed tiles, this tomb is believed to house the remains of an unknown family of the Lodhi Dynasty.
- Tomb of Sikandar Lodhi: A beautifully constructed tomb set amidst lush gardens, exemplifying the zenith of Lodhi architecture.
- Athpula Bridge: An eight-piered bridge built during Akbar's reign, showcasing pre-Mughal architectural ingenuity.
- Lotus Pond: A tranquil spot perfect for nature lovers and photographers.
This walk is an excellent opportunity to delve into the historical and architectural richness of Lodhi Garden while enjoying the natural beauty that surrounds these ancient structures.

Guidelines:
- Per head registration cost of the heritage walk is Rs.500(Excluding GST)
- Wear a mask, & bring your personal sanitiser and water bottle.
- Since it is a walking tour, guests are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes.
- Arrive at the departure point 15 minutes prior to the reporting time.
- Please note that locations are subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances.
- Please note that tours are subject to weather conditions. If the tour is cancelled due to weather, it will be rescheduled.
- Kindly inform us beforehand if you will be accompanied by your kid(s) on the walk. There is no registration fee for children below the age of 10 years and a 50% registration fee for children between 10-17 years of age.
- The tour route is in public areas over which we have no control. We are not responsible and shall not be held liable for the behaviour of the public, other tour patrons, or any accidents during the tour.
